i hate the rain. i feel like when people say they like the rain, they are just trying to be different. no one likes the rain.

. i may have even blogged about this already. but...a good umbrella is priceless

when i first moved to SF, i would always buy a cheap umbrella at Walgreens for like $10. i would use it 3-4 times before it would eventually break. they're horrible, very weak, too small, doesn't block enough of the rain. your whole lower body is wet after 5 minutes of walking in medium level rain. (and i haaate those small umbrellas that contract and fit into your backpack)

i finally upgraded about a year a half ago, and now, the rain is OKAY with me. i have a big black golf umbrella, superr sturdy, blocks more than enough of the rain. and even has a carbon fiber handle. sucka

its just funny now when i walk past people near my work. when it's raining, you have those people with big solid umbrellas, and they just look happy as can be
then you have those people with the shitty walgreens umbrellas who are upset because they aren't staying dry, i give them my best 'that-must-suck' look
then you have the people who are just walking as fast as they can because they 100% forgot their umbrella, and they just hate everything in life. or sometimes they try and pull their jacket above their head.
i swear, one time i thought about how nice it would be if i gave my umbrella to someone who looked miserable, but then i remembered that i haaaate rain. now i feel bad, i should give mine away
