-i'm going to try and say "you always gotta watch out for the quiet ones" as much as i can this year, just because

-people underestimate luck so much! to the point where it slightly annoys me, it also baffles me, and it also makes me laugh. after the 9ers lost the seahawks, i was listening to  sports radio and the guy says "when you lose 3 times in a row to a team at their stadium, that means they're just better, that's what it means, they're just a better team, plain and simple".

um no. first, football in general is a small sample. one season of nfl is such a small sample size, anything can happen. i mean, let's say we knew for a fact that the 9ers were going to win 70% of the time when they played the seahawks. then, it's perfectly normal for the 9ers to lose 3 or 4 or 7 games in a row. sometimes it's just luck. but i get, i get why people in sports media have to say its black and white, they have to attribute the loss to kaepernick's mistakes or whatever. but more times then not, it's always a shade of grey. it's not black and white

same with the stock market. people will say things like "oh wow, APPLE dropped like 5% today because of low ipad sales" or some bull shit. but in reality, it's not so black and white, APPLE might have dropped because of low ipad sales, it's possible. but to say that is the one reason why APPLE dropped that day, it's just ridiculous.

more times then not, it's a shade of grey

no exaggerations here

my favorite everyday watch has the Date and Day. so, it'll say Tuesday, 28. Or, it'll say Monday, 10.
i've had the watch for about 14th months and something started to happen back in December that has never happened before. so before december, i would set the Day and Date toward the beginning of the month, but it would never sync quite right. for example, when i'm at work on Tuesday, the 3rd. My watch would (incorrectly) say Tuesday, the 4th. Or it would say Monday, the 3rd. It would always be just a tad off. Or when it's a short or long month, i would be lazy and not change the date to start a new month. so since i sometimes like to think too much about worthless crap, i thought maybe my timing has been off. just a little bit, but always slightly off.

but starting in december of last year (2013), the day and date on my watch have been exactly correct, every single day. as i'm writing this right now, it says TUE, 28 (bingo). so perhaps, the timing is finally right. maybe things are coming together, maybe.. who knows? i don't. i guess all you can do is stay positive, trust, and have faith

i've been wanting to write this for a couple weeks. but just haven't got around to it. it would be quite interesting if i lose my watch tomorrow, or it gets stolen somehow. but that's ok, nbd. that would be ok with me. so many thoughts running around
