SPoc is my hero

Today, lots of sports bets because I was staying at the Strat and was going to be able to watch the games.
1) I bet $50 on the Giants at -126 to win $39.68 and the Giants owned this game.
2) bet $30 on the Chicago white Sox at -120 to win $25 and they won 5-2.
3) I also bet $30 on the Astros at -129 to win $23.26 and they won 6-3. So sweeping in sports betting is always fun.

Steven Pocoroba is my hero! I was playing online in the room and I told Steve to go play down the 4 o’clock tourney downstairs in the poker room. The buy in is $60 and I told Steve that I would buy half of his action if I can get half of his profits. Long story short, he comes back to the hotel room and tells me he shipped it, my profits for his WIN was $119. He is my hero!

So, I played more online today, so no gym or pool. But I need to hit both hard tomorrow. We both decide to play the tournament that starts at 9PM with the same buy-in. I get knocked out when I have KK and it runs into AK and an ACE on the flop, bang bang, I’m out. But Steve (a Stratosphere tournament specialist) makes it to the final table. He got a little card dead but finished 5th for $68, so I got a $34 refund. My degeneracy kicked back in when I saw Steve playing video roulette and I start betting with him on red/black. I won $5 and bang, there’s my footlong tomorrow!
The tournament was so soft, there wasn’t one single decent player in the 3 table tournament. There was one guy who won a pot, then threw a “100 chip” to the dealer as if it was a tip, and the dealer laughed and since the tournament chips have no cash value. It was really cute, but a good example of how little these guys knew about tournament poker.

PokerStars was a little nicer to me today, making about $210ish.
Since we don’t have any bottled water in the hotel, I decided to be cheap, and buy a big cup of McDonald’s soda, and just refill it every time I get thirsty. I also have one for Subway. I think I have eaten 7 feet of Subway Sandwiches so far, just a fun fact, I’m setting the line at 27.5 feet of Subway sandwiches for my entire trip.
I finally got a safe deposit box for the cash that I have been keeping in my room. As of yesterday, all my cash was in an old calculator box I found at home. I’ve been keeping the box under my boxers and socks. I feel better now that my money is safe. However, If I lose the key, they are going to charge me $100 to open the box. Fcuk me, I better not lose this damn key.
