Anohther example of how NOT to get value from your big hands, he flops the nuts and checks back the flop and turn, and only min-raises the river. You’re cute enana

This guy completely owned me. I’m not sure if he meant to bet for value or a bluff, but either way, I was impressed by his bet. I thought he would bet a 10 on the turn, so I didn’t put him on a 10. And I didn’t think he would value bet a pair of nines, but he owned, nothing else I could say I guess.

I was very close to 5-betting the flop, and maybe I should have to get value from his hands with just a 3 in it. But I wanted to let him continue to bluff if he is indeed bluffing. But, my normal line there is to 5-bet the flop.

7/13/10
I bought internet ($11.99) today because live poker sucks lol. I played pretty much all day starting at noon, and was pretty breakeven for most of the day, but hit a little card rush toward the end of the day and booked about a $250 win. That helped a little after the disaster at Venetian.

Greg, Greg’s brother Kyle, and Greg’s friend Nick got into town around 3 and they picked me up for dinner around 6ish. We had this pho place near the rio. It was very solid, and even more delicious because I won credit card roulette, I think Nick and Kyle lost. After dinner, we stopped by the RIO to check out the WSOP main event. It was near the money bubble, so the room was extremely packed. We finally got a view of the action, and I saw my biggest man-crush I’ve ever had, Mr. Patrik Antonius (google him). He was looking studly as always. He was in a hand, and the ESPN cameras came over to film it, and I stood right behind him, so maybe I’ll be on TV.

Greg made an uh-oh at dinner. As we were preparing for credit card roulette, we decided to use driver’s licenses instead of actual credit cards. But Greggy left his ID at home, ouch. But, it was probably a good idea because it saved him from potential gambling losses. But ouch. I also bet on the All star game. I put $20 on the American league, and cringed as they blew a couple chances to put some runs on the board. Blah blah
