i really miss baseball. this happens every year around this time. i get tired of basketball and football. i just want to watch one baseball game. even if it's the blue jays vs. the Rockies, i don't care

football is cool and all, but i'm not as into it as last year or the year before. watching PBS's documentary League of Denial and videos like that one ^ have sort of killed it for me. (League of Denial is free on pbs.com, and it's really good). football is really exciting, but i just feel bad for these players. they're uneducated. i mean, by far (extremely far), NFL players must have the lowest IQ of the 4 biggest sports (same goes with the fans' IQ right? a "die-hard NFL fan" is not smarter than a "die-hard baseball fan" or a "die-hard basketball fan" ON AVERAGE). they're contracts are not guaranteed, and they have an average career of like 2-3 years. plus, everything we know about concussions and whatnot. it sounds horrible. with these players, if you get hurt, it's just on to the next player

i mean, if my friend's dad was in the NFL and had a 9-year career, the 12-year old me would think that was the coolest thing in the world. but the 23-year old me wouldn't think it's thaaat cool, and would just be concerned for him.

which reminds me of the first time i won a championship in fantasy basketball, it was me and kyle lee in the finals, and i took it down
