i had a dream

the SCOOP (spring championship of online poker)on PokerStars had its Heads-up tournaments today. The high tourney's buy in was $25k, the medium was $2500, and the low was $270. I was lucky enough to win an entry into the low on a couple $20 satellites. The guarantee was $300,000, but it ended up having a prize pool of $400,000+. I know I'm a longshot to win or even cash, but there's always a chance. It's like when you buy a lottery ticket and just think what if... First place was $64,000 in this tourney.
I was pretty happy just to satellite in and was up against "latinsh". He was a small winner in the $33 turbo Hu sngs. So, def not a fish or anything. But, it wasn't meant to be. He had been really aggressive and this happened about 20 hands into the match. I think we both played the hand very very standard. I'm something like 56% to win it when the chips go in, but he binks the river. Oh well.

  1. What hand did you put him on before you saw it?

  2. I put him on a pair of aces, like a9 or a10. i was surprised and sad to see his hand.

He was way too aggressive. I like aggressive play and he did have something like 43% to win. But this was way too early in the match to get his hand all in. We were 155 effective big blinds deep, which is realllly deep in a hu sng format.
