you can laugh, it's ok

so back in february or march, i thought i was a savvy ticket scalper.

i was at work and i got an email from ticketmaster that justin bieber concert tix (for a july concert ) will go on sale in an hour. the last time he was in the bay area, it sold out. so i was thinking alright, i'll try and buy to scalp. as soon as they went on sale, i kept refreshing my ticketmaster over, and over, and over....until finally i had the option to buy 2 upper level tickets. the 2 tickets were part of the "vip baby package" and were about $450 for the pair. i thought that was pretty expensive for 2 upper level tickets, but i thought fuck it, i need to buy because its def going to sell out...and i'll flip pretty easily. #layup

a couple months go by, and i never got the tickets in the mail. so i looked up the concert on stubhub and ticketmaster. and yes, it sold out. niice! then i do a little more research and find out some bad news...so this "vip baby package" consists of Justin Bieber merchandise that will be shipped to the billing address AFTER the concert. #fuckme

so basically, i have to sell my shitty upper level tickets WITHOUT the bieber merch. of course these assholes couldn't send me the merchandise BEFORE the show. that way i could at least sell the merch+tickets for roughly what i paid for.

fast forward to a couple weeks before the concert. and for whatever reason, ticket prices on stubhub and craigslist tankkkkkkk. like, no one wants to go apparently. long story short, i think i sell the bieber tickets for about $40 each.

and of course, a week or two after the concert. i get my bieber merchandise sent to my place.
a towel that says "swaggy"????? and a bag (it's reversible by the way) that also says swaggy???

ouch. it hurt. but that's ok.
i've lost big on bieber, made decent on legendsofsummer, lost big on rolling stones (which was jon's idea, he wanted to split expensive tix and we got murdered), and i made a little from smaller edm shows.

how much am i up or down after it all?
