ticket scalping chronicles. 3

so i finally received the Jay-Z/timberlake tickets. and it was time to exchange with kevin. he had already put down a $100 deposit. but i was nervous about this one because $900 would be exchanged. so the plan was to meet near my work after i got off. i brought my backpack and put the tickets in the small pocket

he texted me saying he was in the cafe next door.
i see him, he's ordering food and has his receipt. we sit down across from each other. and tell him that the tickets are in my backpack. he puts his phone, keys and wallet on the table.
-he says "can i see the tickets?"
-so i tell him 'i need the money first.'
-he says "well i gave you the deposit already, i feel like i should get the tickets in my hand first".
- i said "no, i'm not going to screw you, just give me the money first, and then you'll get the tickets."
-he said "i don't think that's fair"
-i said "i don't really care, i have to protect myself, I need the money first"
-he said "are you serious?"
-then i lost it and said "look here motherfucker, i can leave right now, and you're  out $100..."

ok, not exactly.  i couldn't help it. we did meet in a cafe, and we basically exchanged cash for the tickets at the same time.
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
i have a NON-bold prediction. so the concert sold out rather quickly. some people panicked and bought tickets on craigslist/stubhub/ebay. currently on stubhub, there are 6,384 tickets available right now. and there are hundreds more on ebay and craigslist too. and there are people that own tickets right now that have not tried to sell just yet, but plan to sell closer to the concert. so basically, there are a tonnnn of tickets available. i think the ticket prices are slowly going to decrease all the way up until july 25th. i think if you own tickets and are planning to sell, nowww is the time. you need to sell the hype. sorta like jeremy lin rookie cards, you need to sell the hype. just like shoes. i know of someone who bought the yeezys? and tried to hold them hoping the price would increase. nope, just the opposite. you need to sell the hype. no matter what. EVEN IF YOU WANTED TO KEEP THE SHOES, YOU NEED TO SELL THE HYPE. say you bought the shoes for $500. you sell them immediately for $2,000. and then you wait til the hype dies down, and you buy the shoes back for $1500 (profittttt). if you can pull that off, sooooo sick. who knows? i could be wrong, maybe the demand is just too strong and the ticket prices slowly increase til july 25th? we'll see...
