linsanity the movie

i saw Lisanity last week, the documentary about jeremy lin. i thought it was very very good, but i'm very very biased. it definitely exceeded my expectations. i thought the documentary was going to focus on the time he spent in the NBA (warriors, rockets, knicks, rockets). if the doc only focused on that time period, i was thinking it would be whatever. but i was pleasantly surprised.

the doc showed lots of home footage when jeremy and his brothers were young kids. they showed him playing ball when he was 7-10  years old, high school, and college with lots of commentary from family. it was suchhhh a good story, just sooo real

thinking back about that "linsanity" period of early february of 2012, i distinctly remember those first few breakout games. i remember where i was eating during that Friday night Laker/Knicks game at MSG. i distinctly getting text messages when he hit that game winner over the Raptors. and I distinctlyyyy remember his game against the Mavericks, scott and i bet on the mavericks, and jeremy hit some huuuuuge shots to lock it up.

oh man, it was a fun time. i remember going to work and subscribing to this youtube channel "taiwaneseNOTchinese". that channel would post all of jeremy's highlights/interviews from the night before.

and by the way, jeremy is hilarious. he's just so weird. sort of quirky, slightly awkward. i was dying, his humor was so dry. but i was picking up every bit of it.

how did i not buy any rookie cards? i mean, it was a lay-up
