5. Friday Night Lights
I love high school football movies. I don’t think you can really go wrong with them, and this movie didn’t disappoint. I actually get chills when I watch the championship game at the end. Btw, the TV show is just as good as the movie. Season 1 was awesome, and I’m still waiting on the Season 2 DVDS. Minka Kelly > Sloan (Entourage) I’m probably the minority on this one.
4. The Waterboy
I remember being in elementary school and going to see this movie with 2 of my friends at the West Valley Mall! I think it was my first movie in theatres without any family. I’d say it’s Adam Sandler in his prime. There are so many classic lines in this movie. “No Colonel Sanders, you’re wrong, Mama’s right.”
3. The Blindside
This movie was amazing, probably my favorite movie of the year. It’s such a heartwarming movie. I would rank this movie higher, but it’s too recent. I’ve probably seen my #1 movie 20 times and would still happily watch it again. So, we’ll see what the replay value is.
2. Little Giants
My parents definitely didn’t spoil Derek and me. Therefore, our VHS collection was very limited. I’d say Little Giants was a top 5 video in our collection. What a great underdog movie. Here’s one thing that always bothered me when I was watching the movie when I was a kid. Here it goes, during the last play, “Annexation of Puerto Rico”, there was 3 maybe 4 seconds left. So, as a kid, I’m thinking (in basketball terms), ok let’s see you score a touchdown in only 3 seconds. But the play actually takes probably 10-12 seconds. I remember just thinking this is bullshit, there’s no way that play only took 3 seconds. But eventually, I did learn that football and basketball rules are different.
1. Remember the Titans
No surprise here. Everyone loves this movie. You can watch it over and over, and it doesn’t get old. Denzel is the man, plain and simple. The little girl (Hayden?) is good for some laughs as well. Although, I don’t think she is good-looking. (I may be the minority in this one too)
Other movies that I considered were Rudy and Varsity Blues. Rudy is a great movie, but there is no replay value. If it were on tv, I would rather watch a re-run of Home Improvement. I really like Varsity Blues because it’s such an MTV movie. And there is nudity, which is important, just kidding.
Anyone agree with my top 5?

Shaving is way better with a razor.
I used an electronic shaver for about 3 years. I used a Braun. I liked it, it did the job, but it was whatever. I have recently switched back to a razor. Razors are so underrated. That, or electric shavers are way overrated.
Electric shavers: It’s really convenient, and very quick to use. It’s just bam bam. I could shave while watching TV, talking with someone, or playing poker. You can do it in the car or on your way to school or work. You don’t have to replace the blades. However, the closeness of the shave is lacking. No matter how well I shaved, I would always feel a few hairs somewhere on my face.
Razors: It’s not as convenient. You need shaving crème and a razor. The shaving crème and razors need to be replaced every so often. It’s messier. I shaved while I was in Tracy, and then went to meet up with my Mom for lunch. As I was getting out of the car, I looked in my mirror, and saw that I had some shaving crème on my neck. That could’ve been embarrassing. But anyway, shaving takes more time. And there is the risk of cuts (although i've never cut myself). However, the closeness of the shave is amazing. There is no comparison. When I have the time, I actually looking forward to shaving. That’s probably weird.
I believe electric shavers are very useful. However, they are optimal only in certain situations. go with a razor

Poker Entourage?
Last year’s best poker reality show was “Two Months Two Million” which followed 4 online poker players trying to reach a goal of making $2 million in 2 months. This summer, it’s 6th Street: Life After the River. It’s a reality show following the life of Main Event Champ, Joe Cada. He is only 21 years old, but binked $8.5 million for his win in November. The interesting part of the show is that they started filming before he won. The viewers will get to see the transformation from an average 21-year old, into a Main Event Champion. It really does seem like an Entourage-type show for poker players. The girlfriend looks like a complete bitchh, should be very entertaining.
Here’s the trailer.

TAXES
Baseball season is so much fun.
I think basketball should have day games. It keeps sports fans entertained the entire day. So, I get to work at 9 in the morning, which is a perfect amount of time to peruse bodog and check out the morning baseball games that start at 10AM. Today was def a first, I went 6-1-1.
The wins:
Chicago White Sox -120
Chicago Cubs -135
Atlanta Braves -150
Tampa Bay Rays -150
Los Angeles Angels +180
Dodgers/Arz Over 8 -120
The push:
Bos/Minn Under 9 -120
However, I’m a prop FISH. I was bored at work, so I was looking at the baseball props for the Giants game. They had one that caught my eye “Will Aubrey Huff hit a home run?”
The odds were -800, but that didn’t matter, it was a sure thing. But -800? I’d have to bet $800 to win $100?! Fcuk it, it’s a sure thing! I decide to bet $8 for fun to win that One Dollar!
Blah blah blah, I see that Huff hit an inside-the-park home run. Fml, I’m such a fish. 6-0-1 would have felt good.
This is just one of those stories I want to remember in 20 years.
Person X is notorious for doing some nasty work in the bathroom. So nasty that he takes his shirt off before he ‘does work’ because the stench is crazy. But anyway, one night, he was doing his thing, and calls out and says that he is out of TP. I say that there should be some under the sink. He can’t find it. So he comes out and tells me he couldn’t find it. I walk toward the bathroom to show him. But before I get in, he grabs my arm, stops me, pauses, looks me in the eye, and says with a very serious tone “Breathe through your mouth, it smells really bad in there”. Maybe you had to be there.

ALL...REDS!
It’s not every day you get a royal flush, especially in 7-card stud. I’ve been playing Full Tilt’s 7-game mix which consists of Limit Hold’em, Omaha Hi-Lo, Razz, Stud Hi, and Stud Hi-Lo, NL Hold’em, and PL Omaha. The game switches every 10 hands, and it’s fun to do when you’re doing homework or reading. But here, I Bink the 10 of hearts for the royal flush.
I referred Russ to Bodog this weekend, and it didn’t take him long to discover online Paigow. Online games like paigow are filthy. It’s basically burning money. Here is our bet, he can’t play paigow for 30 days. If he succeeds, I owe him $20. GL Russ

Dr. Ivey
This hand was from the last episode of High Stakes Poker. A lot of people don’t really know Lex Veldhuis. But he is a legit high stakes online player that goes by the name of “Raszi”. He is also dating Evelyn Ng, a semi-good looking asian poker player. Forget all the talk about ranges, bet sizes, percentages, and table images. Ivey just owns Lex. Barry opens for a standard raise (he could have anything), Ivey raises pretty large from the button. Ivey’s range is obviously any two cards. Therefore, I think Lex reads the situation perfectly, but I guess a “good play” can’t beat the best player in the world. You can’t talk ranges with Phil Ivey, all you can say is that his range is huge. And here is proof. Making a 5-bet bluff all in with 5-2offsuit just proves that his range is any two cards at (almost) any given time.
This is another hand Ivey hand. I usually don’t give much respect to tournament hands because it’s just “play” chips, and not real CashMoney. But this was a big tournament in Monte Carlo, with $1 million going to first. The ‘reads’ were amazing in this hand. But the most significant part of this hand is this. It’s ONE thing to have the correct read, but it’s another thing to actually commit to that read. How many players would say “oh, nice bluff” and then much their cards. I would. Five or Six raises on the flop! What is Ivey’s range? In my opinion, its any two cards.
I just like this hand because I think it’s funny when Daniel loses.

rain delays suck
-I have this friend who I frequently make bets with. However, most of the time it goes something like this:
me: i'll bet you $5 blah blah blah.
Friend B: No thanks, let's just bet our pride.
me: ok fine.
But the problem is, what do I do with Friend B's prideS? Plural, I mean, I probably "have" 6 prides of Friend B. Do i get to save them up and trade them in like a carnival game?
-My laptop died on me yesterday. It was a good run, 4 years and 2 months old. I'm in the market for a new one. I'm looking for a 15 inch Non-mac. I'm compulsive, so i'm setting the line for having a new laptop at 50 hours. This will be my biggest purchase ever. My last biggest purchase was my Torneau watch, which I "misplaced" for 6 months.
