yakk bakk

-i love it when i buy something from whiskey militia, and then it gives you like 8 days to add to your order and save on shipping. i bought 4 things in 3 days. i don't even need new headphones, but for only $1 shipping, sureee

-either i'm getting old, or this was kind of funny. probably both

-jt got me hooked on coke zero. i'd say i drink about 4.5 cans per week. this is not an exaggeration, 2 times since i've moved to sf, coke zero cans have been sold out at the grocery store (or market). only 2-liter bottles were available, but only weirdos buy 2-liters

-scott, a guy i work with, is 30 years old and getting married in August, told me that he wishes he took more pictures when he was younger, and also wishes that he documented his life a little better. i prob won't be taking a lot of pictures, but i will def keep a journal going. i think everyone should keep a journal, even a private one. by the way, Scott is getting married to a girl named Jill. I swear

-why does the nfl draft kill it for all the viewers. it's sort of fun to see the commissioner go up and say who the next pick will be. but it seemed as if for the first round, a reporter would say who the pick was about a minute before the commissioner announced it, and they would show the player on the phone hearing the good news. where's the drama? they should hire some MTV producers and let them do their thing

-it's kind of gross how if you ask me my opinion about any type of politics, i'd probably answer, eh, don't really have an opinion. but if you ask me about the sports card industry, i have very strong opinions. UD>topps>panini. BGS>PSA. on card>sticker. overproduction killed the industry, nothing is "cool" or "sick" anymore. i miss the good old days, SeasonTicket (my LCS, or local card shop). I miss allenmpc

-i saw a short white girl walking a big brown dog down the street and thought of russ. haha

-just saw the last season of friday night lights. the last 2 seasons were pretty crappy. it was a very safe ending, everyone sort of turned out OK. why didn't minka come back for a scene? Tara, Jason Street, and landry came back. not a great season, but was sad to see it end.

-bought the last season of weeds on amazon. i'm so weird, i think i'm the only person in the world who has seen every episode of Entourage, liked it, and has yet to see a single episode of the new season. the dvd comes out in july i think

pokerstars for the win

cashouts are being processed for pokerstars accounts, you HAVE to cash out your full bankroll, you can not transfer the money to other players. this is good and bad for me. the good thing: 3/5 of my bankroll was on pokerstars, so that's good to have some money 100% safe. full tilt is lagging behind. however, 1/5 of my ftp bankroll is on my friend's account who i have not seen in about 8 months. i am going to have to withdraw via check or bank transfer under his name which will be kind of a hassle. plus, the address is his home (tracy address) which is another obstacle. He now lives in LA somewhere. so great news today. but i'm already concerned about withdrawing on my ftp. another small win: after "black friday" (which everyone is calling the day online poker died), i immediately cashed out almost all of my bodog bankroll, and i got the check yesterday and deposited it without any problems, so online poker is not completely dead in america

dude. there's no other way to say this but Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory on mtv is the funniest mtv show i've ever seen. the first 3 episodes of this season are just amazing. i feel like i say "funniest ever" every week or so. but i think i mean it this time. take 20 minutes to watch the last episode. dodgeball to the face twice! haahahhahah. and watching drama run during dodgeball training! i think if you've seen the show over the years, it makes that scene so much better. if you think i'm annoying and this is a waste of time, just watch the first 2 minutes of part1. thanks

betting the 'no'

Bet #1)
don't really know exactly how this topic got started, but i want to document some bets here to avoid any confusion. first bet is with Russ, the bet is. will the warriors win an nba championship in the next 20 years (starting with next year). I bet the no, russ bet the yes. $1k paid in 21 years. My take: the nba is full of superteams and the warriors just aren't going to put together a superteam. and if the warriors do end up making it to the finals, i'm def hedging my bet so the most i'm gonna lose would be $500. i swear i'm a warriors fan, but i'm such a big hater it's not even funny. however, i would love to lose this bet, just don't see it

bet #2)
after lots of negotiations, the bet is for the next 20 years. red sox and yankees championships combined starting next season. 5 is a push, i win with 4 and lower, scott wins with 6 and higher. after the bet was booked, the next 2 people we asked set the line at 6 and 7 ( i think). so maybe i have the worst of it here, but should be interesting. I'm 95% sure the bet is for $500 paid in 21 years. should be a good sweat. we talked about how the changing playoffs would affect this bet, and i think we decided that it was a wash.

i'm also trying to bet on the lakers in the next 20 years. i'm taking the under on 5.5 championships. any takers?
miami in the next 10 years, i'm taking over 1.5.
and thunder 2.5 in next 10 years, i'm taking the under.

last bet, will i have a job in 10 years? even money, i'll take either side (after writing this, it would be kinda sad if i got multiple ppl trying to bet the "no" on this prop bet lol, if you do wanna bet the "no", just tell me that you're trying to motivate me)

just saw the showtime giants show, laughed incredibly hard. hahahahahahahhahaah.

mind blaaaahhhsting

i've watched this clip 21 times. and each time i laugh the exact same way at the exact same time

every 3 days or so i think to myself how cool it would be if i was smarter. unfortunately, at the age of 22, i don't think it's going to happen. i mean, i guess i can read more and study a lot, but that just seems too boring and a waste of time. so i thought more about it, and if there is a 0% chance that i'm getting any smarter, there must be a non-zero percentage that i'm getting dumber. I can't afford to get any dumber. here's my pran (plan), i'm not going to RE-watch any reality tv shows. once i watch it, i will NEVER watch it again (for the most part). this is going to hurt a little, because re-runs of jersey shore are sometimes just as good as watching them the first time. but hey, this is serious
==
i'm cool if there is a lockout in the nfl, even the nba for that matter. the 49ers aren't going to be contenders this year, the warriors aren't going to be contenders any time soon. let's take a 5 year break from both. it'll only hurt the legit title contenders. that's cool with me, let's take a break and focus on baseball.

i think rebecca black-Friday is ridiculous like everyone else, but this lady is a dickhead for asking her "do you think you're a good singer?" ahahhahaha, 2:15

popping off

from cardplayer.com:

"Despite all the commotion within the online world, Full Tilt proTom “durrrr” Dwan is confident players will be able to receive their money eventually. He has said on Twitter that Full Tilt will find a way to make pay outs, and if they don’t “Phil [Galfond] and I are out $1 million each.”

On Saturday, Dwan wrote that the odds are “way lower than 10 percent of Full Tilt Poker not paying.” He also said, “Would strongly assume [PokerStars] is the same.” Galfond shared Dwan’s sentiment, Tweeting that “we are extremely likely to be paid our [money],” and “however I think we can’t expect to get paid right away. It’ll take a few months at least. Focus your worry/energy on planning around that.”

Dan “jungleman12” Cates, online poker’s biggest winner in 2010, told Card Player that he had no comment on the issue of cashing out. Cates won $7.5 million on Full Tilt through 2010 and into the early months of 2011. It is unknown how much of that money is still online."

-------------------------------------------------------------------

the bad part about the money i have online, is that about half of the money is on ftp, and on ftp i have two accounts, and one is not in my name, it's my high school friend's account. which would make things even harder if they ask for a picture ID or anything like that.

uh oh

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/poker/news/story?id=6362238

edit: ftp and stars are not allowing player-to-player trades, or any withdraw options at the time. all the money online is basically frozen. but they assure that the funds are safe, small ughh
