easy peasy- japaneesey

-bet is booked, $50 even money. I have Miami, opposite side has the field. paid in 50 singles

-I went to the giants game with my parents and andy, i think 2 weeks ago. I was going to meet scott and jill at a club after the game. I told my dad, he asked what club we were going to, I said 360 Ritch (or whatever its called). And my dad looked up, shook his head and said “nope, doesn’t ring a bell". silly hah

-Weeds, season 6, was pretty good. season 5 was pretty bad. the ending makes it impossible not to care about season 7, i think it starts in june. so that means, i'll buy it on dvd february 2012. woooo
-i've realized that i only bet "no" and "unders". I very very very rarely bet "yes" and "overs". i think this is why sports disappoints me more that brings me any type of joy. Because to bet no and over, for example in a basketball game, you are usually winning for 99% of the game, until you of course, lose. But if you're watching closely enough, for every short that is attempted, you sort of hold your breath and hope for a miss. if the shot is missed, small sigh. if it's made, a slight "damn". and the "damns" don't equal the "sighs". disappointment>joy. therefore, you're stressed and upset more than you are stress-free and relaxed. i wish i was a "yes" and "over" sports bettor, but that's just not my gut feel. i like to torture myself, after most sports events that i watch or bet on, if i win, it's just a feeling of relief, not happiness or excitement. but when i lose, it's a "damn it". i wonder if that made any type of sense. which brings me to my next point, don't smoke crack.

although i did bet the OVER on game 1 of the mia/chi series. i was on ESPN, and there was a headline like "Lebron thinks Chicago series will be low scoring" or something. Taj Gibson's nasty dunk for the "over" win.

I heard the MAVS are 10-0 against the spread this postseason, bet the farm on OKC in game 1?

suburban commando

i got my new baseball glove 2 weeks ago, my A.D.D. and pressure from scottmizuno.com made me "buy it now" on ebay before i did any type of real research. i pretty much searched glove. looked for a black one with a web that had holes. odds are I will never use it in any type of game whatsoever. I justified my purchase thinking that maybe if i have a son, he would use it. but with my luck, my son will be a left handed first baseman, then quit.

i was pretty tilted. so i paid for it with paypal, but didn't change my shipping address. so it shipped to tracy, and i was in sf. it arrived on a tuesday, but i wasn't going to tracy until friday. ALL i could think about for those 3 days was that new baseball glove. i considered even driving home on wednesday just to pick up the glove. TILT

the day i got it, the only thing i wanted to do was play catch. i called my dad and asked him to come home so we could play catch before it got dark. he did, but he wasn't really feeling it, and wanted to go in after like 10 minutes. sad. plain milk's fine. i overthrew him a few times since i was rusty and my dad doesn't get off the ground, and my dad kept saying "release point, release point". then i remembered why i didn't like baseball that much when I was younger

straight creepy

Last week, I was invited to a Logitech customer advisory panel event in fremont. Its basically an event where Logitech users come and share their experiences, provide suggestions, and see new products. The guy I work with went to an event before and referred me to this event. It was pretty fun, they had an open bar, steak dinner, and lots of free stuff. We broke up into groups of 6 and had a discussion about how and when we use our products. And this 45-year oldish husky lady started giving her schpeeel? shh-peel (mhmmm like mop and glo) And said that after she puts her 2 kids to sleep, she goes to her office and plays world of warcraft. (she suggested brighter LED lights on her keyboard because she likes to play with all the lights off in her office lolol) I thought it was kind of funny because she was dead serious, i laughed out loud at first. Then I was thinking how funny this would have been: after Derek and I would go to sleep, my mom goes to the office, puts her headset on, and tells her online WOW friends “they’re asleep, let’s do this”

I thought I would enjoy watching the Lakers lose in the playoffs. but in the 2nd quarter of game 4, i caught myself rooting for the lakers a little bit. And i figured out why:

1) there was no sweat. 4 games and out? no pain? nothing? to be honest, i only saw a little part of game 1, and missed games 2 and 3. I thought there was no way there's going to be a sweep, i'll just watch games 5, 6, and 7. so watching game 4, it was over in the 2nd quarter! all i wanted was a sweat. i was thinking before game 4, ok, so the lakers win game 4, then they go back to LA for game 5, get blown out by halftime, and watch the home crowd booooooo the rest of the game. Or, have it go to game 6 in Dallas, Dallas blows a 15-point lead in the 4th, all the momentum goes to the lakers, then the lakers blow a 18 point lead in the 4th for the playoff exit. but no, what about kobe yelling at his teammates during a timeout, nope, nothing. the odom and bynum ejection don't count, i like them

2) i've realized how much i like phil jackson. call him lucky for coaching superstars, but the teams still have to win. i like how laid-back he seems, at least in the national media. And i like the fact that if you called him the luckiest coach in NBA history, he would probably just laugh a little and agree that he was lucky.

maybe i'm secretly a lakers fan.

yakk bakk

-i love it when i buy something from whiskey militia, and then it gives you like 8 days to add to your order and save on shipping. i bought 4 things in 3 days. i don't even need new headphones, but for only $1 shipping, sureee

-either i'm getting old, or this was kind of funny. probably both

-jt got me hooked on coke zero. i'd say i drink about 4.5 cans per week. this is not an exaggeration, 2 times since i've moved to sf, coke zero cans have been sold out at the grocery store (or market). only 2-liter bottles were available, but only weirdos buy 2-liters

-scott, a guy i work with, is 30 years old and getting married in August, told me that he wishes he took more pictures when he was younger, and also wishes that he documented his life a little better. i prob won't be taking a lot of pictures, but i will def keep a journal going. i think everyone should keep a journal, even a private one. by the way, Scott is getting married to a girl named Jill. I swear

-why does the nfl draft kill it for all the viewers. it's sort of fun to see the commissioner go up and say who the next pick will be. but it seemed as if for the first round, a reporter would say who the pick was about a minute before the commissioner announced it, and they would show the player on the phone hearing the good news. where's the drama? they should hire some MTV producers and let them do their thing

-it's kind of gross how if you ask me my opinion about any type of politics, i'd probably answer, eh, don't really have an opinion. but if you ask me about the sports card industry, i have very strong opinions. UD>topps>panini. BGS>PSA. on card>sticker. overproduction killed the industry, nothing is "cool" or "sick" anymore. i miss the good old days, SeasonTicket (my LCS, or local card shop). I miss allenmpc

-i saw a short white girl walking a big brown dog down the street and thought of russ. haha

-just saw the last season of friday night lights. the last 2 seasons were pretty crappy. it was a very safe ending, everyone sort of turned out OK. why didn't minka come back for a scene? Tara, Jason Street, and landry came back. not a great season, but was sad to see it end.

-bought the last season of weeds on amazon. i'm so weird, i think i'm the only person in the world who has seen every episode of Entourage, liked it, and has yet to see a single episode of the new season. the dvd comes out in july i think

pokerstars for the win

cashouts are being processed for pokerstars accounts, you HAVE to cash out your full bankroll, you can not transfer the money to other players. this is good and bad for me. the good thing: 3/5 of my bankroll was on pokerstars, so that's good to have some money 100% safe. full tilt is lagging behind. however, 1/5 of my ftp bankroll is on my friend's account who i have not seen in about 8 months. i am going to have to withdraw via check or bank transfer under his name which will be kind of a hassle. plus, the address is his home (tracy address) which is another obstacle. He now lives in LA somewhere. so great news today. but i'm already concerned about withdrawing on my ftp. another small win: after "black friday" (which everyone is calling the day online poker died), i immediately cashed out almost all of my bodog bankroll, and i got the check yesterday and deposited it without any problems, so online poker is not completely dead in america

dude. there's no other way to say this but Rob Dyrdek's Fantasy Factory on mtv is the funniest mtv show i've ever seen. the first 3 episodes of this season are just amazing. i feel like i say "funniest ever" every week or so. but i think i mean it this time. take 20 minutes to watch the last episode. dodgeball to the face twice! haahahhahah. and watching drama run during dodgeball training! i think if you've seen the show over the years, it makes that scene so much better. if you think i'm annoying and this is a waste of time, just watch the first 2 minutes of part1. thanks

betting the 'no'

Bet #1)
don't really know exactly how this topic got started, but i want to document some bets here to avoid any confusion. first bet is with Russ, the bet is. will the warriors win an nba championship in the next 20 years (starting with next year). I bet the no, russ bet the yes. $1k paid in 21 years. My take: the nba is full of superteams and the warriors just aren't going to put together a superteam. and if the warriors do end up making it to the finals, i'm def hedging my bet so the most i'm gonna lose would be $500. i swear i'm a warriors fan, but i'm such a big hater it's not even funny. however, i would love to lose this bet, just don't see it

bet #2)
after lots of negotiations, the bet is for the next 20 years. red sox and yankees championships combined starting next season. 5 is a push, i win with 4 and lower, scott wins with 6 and higher. after the bet was booked, the next 2 people we asked set the line at 6 and 7 ( i think). so maybe i have the worst of it here, but should be interesting. I'm 95% sure the bet is for $500 paid in 21 years. should be a good sweat. we talked about how the changing playoffs would affect this bet, and i think we decided that it was a wash.

i'm also trying to bet on the lakers in the next 20 years. i'm taking the under on 5.5 championships. any takers?
miami in the next 10 years, i'm taking over 1.5.
and thunder 2.5 in next 10 years, i'm taking the under.

last bet, will i have a job in 10 years? even money, i'll take either side (after writing this, it would be kinda sad if i got multiple ppl trying to bet the "no" on this prop bet lol, if you do wanna bet the "no", just tell me that you're trying to motivate me)

just saw the showtime giants show, laughed incredibly hard. hahahahahahahhahaah.

mind blaaaahhhsting

i've watched this clip 21 times. and each time i laugh the exact same way at the exact same time
